3η Κυριακή της Ανυψώσεως του Τιμίου Σταυρού ( Ματθαίος 24 / 23 - 31)

Αν κάποιος τότε σας πει, «να, εδώ είναι ο Μεσσίας» ή «να, εκεί είναι», μην τον πιστέψετε. Γιατί θα εμφανιστούν ψευδομεσσίες και ψευδοπροφήτες, που θα κάνουν μεγάλα και φοβερά θαύματα, για να παραπλανήσουν, αν είναι δυνατόν, ακόμα κι αυτούς που διάλεξε ο Θεός. Εγώ σας τα είπα πριν γίνουν. Αν, λοιπόν, σας πουν, «να τος, είναι στην έρημο», μην πάτε κι αν σας πουν, «να τος, εκεί είναι κρυμμένος», μην τους πιστέψετε. Γιατί ο Υιός του Ανθρώπου θα έρθει τόσο φανερά, όπως η αστραπή που βγαίνει στην ανατολή και φαίνεται ως τη δύση. Κι όπως λέει η παροιμία, όπου το πτώμα, εκεί και τα όρνεα.
Αμέσως ύστερα από τα δεινά εκείνης της εποχής,
ο ήλιος θα σκοτεινιάσει,
και το φεγγάρι θα πάψει πια να φέγγει
τ' άστρα θα πέσουν από τον ουρανό,

και οι ουράνιες δυνάμεις που κρατούν την τάξη
του σύμπαντος, θα διασαλευτούν.
Τότε θα εμφανιστεί στον ουρανό το σημάδι του Υιού του Ανθρώπου και θα θρηνήσουν όλες οι φυλές της γης θα δουν τον Υιό του Ανθρώπου να έρχεται πάνω στα σύννεφα του ουρανού, με δύναμη και λαμπρότητα μεγάλη. Αυτός θα στείλει τους αγγέλους του να σαλπίσουν δυνατά και να συνάξουν τους εκλεκτούς του από τα τέσσερα σημεία του ορίζοντα, από το ένα άκρο του κόσμου ως το άλλο.

Αγαπητά εν Χριστώ αδέλφια,

1.Ο Κύριος Ιησούς συνεχίζει να λέει στο λαό του «εκ των προτέρων» τι πρόκειται να συμβεί.
Το απόσπασμα αυτό είναι ακόμα πολύ επίκαιρο.
Ο Κύριος Ιησούς συνεχίζει να λέει στο λαό του «εκ των προτέρων» τι πρόκειται να συμβεί. «Το μυστικό του Κυρίου είναι γι' αυτούς που τον φοβούνται»
(Ψαλμ. 25:14).
Από τότε που ο Κύριος Ιησούς ανακοίνωσε ότι θα υπάρξουν ψεύτικοι μεσσίες, ο αριθμός τους έχει μόνο αυξηθεί. Και τα ψέματά τους μόνο πολλαπλασιάζονται. Κάποιοι περιμένουν την ουράνια σωτηρία και ξοδεύουν

τον χρόνο τους προσπαθώντας να επισπεύσουν την άφιξή της. Επιλέγουν τον καταλληλότερο τόπο για την επιστροφή του Μεσσία. Και είναι διατεθειμένοι να θυσιάσουν τα πάντα για να βρεθούν στο σωστό μέρος τη σωστή ημερομηνία, ακόμα και τη σωστή ώρα, ώστε να είναι την κατάλληλη στιγμή οι πρώτοι που θα δουν την επιστροφή του Κυρίου.
Το κείμενο του Ματθαίου είναι πολύ σαφές για το θέμα αυτό: «μην τον πιστεύετε»!!!
Από την άλλη πλευρά, άλλοι δεν ασχολούνται καθόλου με τον ουρανό, θεωρώντας ότι ούτως ή άλλως δεν ξέρουμε τον χρόνο, την ημέρα ή τον τόπο. Έτσι, το μόνο που έχουν να κάνουν είναι να συνεχίσουν την καθημερινή τους ζωή, αγνοώντας εντελώς την ιδέα της αναμονής της πιθανής επιστροφής του Κυρίου. Νομίζουν ότι φροντίζουν για τη γη και ξεχνούν τις έγνοιες του ουρανού, κάτι που δεν είναι για μας να γνωρίζουμε ή να βιώνουμε.
Και οι δύο θέσεις φαίνεται να μην έχουν εμπιστοσύνη στον λόγο του Κυρίου για την ένδοξη επιστροφή Του. Μια ρήση που η παράδοση προσδίδει σε διάφορους αγίους μας λέει ότι η εμπιστοσύνη στον Κύριό μας είναι η πιο ακριβής

απάντηση σε όλα αυτά τα ερωτήματα. Ο άγιος λέγεται ότι απάντησε σε όσους του έθεσαν το ερώτημα: "Τι πρέπει να κάνουμε αν η επιστροφή του Κυρίου είναι επικείμενη; Θα απαντούσε: "Λοιπόν, θα συνεχίσω να παίζω, όπως κάνω συνήθως". Πιστεύω ότι ο Κύριος ανακοίνωσε την επιστροφή Του, όχι για να μας φοβίσει, αλλά για να μας προσκαλέσει, όπως έκαναν και κατάλαβαν πολλοί άγιοι, να έχουμε ακλόνητη εμπιστοσύνη σε Αυτόν.

2. Πρέπει να είμαστε πάντα έτοιμοι, γιατί ο Ιησούς μπορεί να επιστρέψει ανά πάσα στιγμή.
Αυτό το κεφάλαιο του Ματθαίου είναι σημαντικό, καθώς μας προειδοποιεί για τους πιθανούς κινδύνους που αντιμετωπίζουμε καθημερινά, αλλά αν ακολουθήσουμε πιστά τον λόγο του Ιησού, τότε θα είμαστε απαλλαγμένοι από τον κίνδυνο των ψευδομεσσίων που προσπαθούν να μας εξαπατήσουν.
Ωστόσο, ο Ιησούς μας προειδοποιεί να είμαστε σε εγρήγορση και έτοιμοι για «την έλευση του Υιού του ανθρώπου.» Όταν ο Ιησούς μιλάει για την «έλευση του Υιού του ανθρώπου,» αναφέρεται στη δεύτερη έλευσή Του ή στην επιστροφή Του στη γη. Το γεγονός αυτό

περιγράφεται επίσης ως «σαν αστραπή.» Ο Ιησούς συνεχίζει να περιγράφει διάφορα σημάδια των έσχατων καιρών, όπως λιμούς, σεισμούς και διωγμούς. Μας υπενθυμίζει ότι πρέπει να παραμείνουμε σε εγρήγορση και να είμαστε υπάκουοι αν θέλουμε να ανταμειφθούμε με την είσοδο στη λαμπρή Βασιλεία Του.
Τα γεγονότα του κόσμου και του γαλαξία δεν υπάρχουν για να μας δεσμεύουν στο εξαιρετικό, αλλά για να μας επιβεβαιώνουν στο συνηθισμένο των όσων μπορούμε να βιώσουμε. Εφόσον οι άγγελοι πρόκειται να έρθουν και να μας συγκεντρώσουν από τις τέσσερις γωνιές του ουρανού, τι έχουμε να φοβηθούμε; Ας μη μας ενοχλεί τίποτε, ας εμπιστευτούμε τον λόγο του Κυρίου, και ας είναι η επιστροφή Του, σήμερα, αύριο ή στο τέλος των αιώνων, για εμάς πηγή ειρήνης και χαράς.

The great desolation, the return of the Son of Man
Matthew 24 / 23 - 31

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

1. The Lord Jesus continues to tell his people "in advance" what is going to happen.
This passage remains highly relevant today.
The Lord Jesus continues to foretell his people "in advance" what will happen. "The secret of the Lord is for those who fear him" (Ps. 25:14).
Since the Lord Jesus announced that there would be false messiahs, their numbers have only increased, and their lies have multiplied. Some expect heavenly salvation and spend their time trying to hasten His return. They choose the most suitable place for the Messiah's return. And they are ready to sacrifice everything to be in the right place at the right time, so that they can be the first to witness the Lord's return.
However the text of Matthew is very explicit on this subject, "do not believe it"!!!!
On the other hand, pay no attention to heaven at all, believing that we don't know the time, the day or the place anyway. That's why they just go about their daily lives, completely ignoring the idea of waiting for the Lord's probable return. They think they should concern themselves with

earthly matters and forget about heavenly concerns, which are not ours to know.
Both positions seem to lack confidence in the Lord's promise of his glorious return. Tradition attributes a response to various saints, suggesting that trust in our Lord is the most accurate answer to all these questions. When asked, "What would you do if the Lord's return were imminent?" the saint supposedly replied, "Well, I would continue playing as I usually do." I believe that the Lord has announced His return, not to frighten us, but to invite us, as many saints have done and understood, to keep an unfailing trust in him.
2. We must always be ready, for Jesus may return at any moment
This chapter of Matthew is an important one, warning of the potential dangers we face every day; but if we faithfully follow Jesus' word, then we will be free from the danger of false messiahs seeking to deceive us.
However, Jesus warns us to be vigilant and ready for "the coming of the Son of Man". When Jesus speaks of "the coming of the Son of Man", he is referring to his second advent, or return to earth. This event is also described as being "like a flash of lightning". Jesus then describes various signs of the end times, including famines, earthquakes and persecutions. He reminds us that we must remain vigilant and obedient if we are to be rewarded by entering His glorious Kingdom.
The events of the world and the galaxy are not meant to captivate us with the extraordinary but to confirm us in the ordinariness of what we can experience. Since the angels will come to gather us from the four corners of heaven, what do we have to fear? Let nothing disturb us, let us trust in the word of the Lord, and let his return, today, tomorrow or at the end of time, be for us a source of peace and joy.

Matthieu 24 / 23 - 31

Chers frères et soeurs en Christ,

1. Le Seigneur Jésus continue de dire « à l'avance » aux siens ce qui va arriver
Ce passage est toujours d'une très grande actualité.
Le Seigneur Jésus continue de dire « à l'avance » aux siens ce qui va arriver. « Le secret de l'Eternel est pour ceux qui le craignent » (Ps. 25 : 14).
Depuis que le Seigneur Jésus a annoncé qu'il y aurait des messies menteurs, leur nombre ne fait qu'augmenter. Et leurs mensonges ne font que proliférer. Les uns qui attendent un salut céleste et passent leur temps à chercher à hâter sa venue. Ils choisissent l’endroit le plus adéquat à ce retour du Messie. Et ils sont prêts à tout sacrifier pour se trouver au bon endroit et à la bonne date, et même à la bonne heure, pour qu'ils soient au bon moment pour être les premiers à voir le retour du Seigneur.
Alors que le texte de Matthieu est très explicite à ce sujet, “ne le croyez pas “ !!!
Et par ailleurs, d'autres ne s'occupent pas du tout du ciel, en se disant que, de toute façon nous ne connaissons ni l'heure ni le jour, ni l'endroit. C'est pour cela il leur suffit de s'occuper de leur quotidien en absentisant

complètement l'idée d'une attente d'un retour probable du Seigneur. Ils pensent s'occuper de la terre et oublier les soucis du ciel, chose qui ne nous appartient pas de savoir ou de connaître.
Les deux positions semblent manquer de confiance en la parole du Seigneur en son retour glorieux. Une parole, que la tradition prête à différents saints, nous précise que la confiance en notre Seigneur est la réponse la plus exacte à tous ces questionnements. Le saint aurait répondu à ceux qui lui posaient la question :" Que faire si le retour du Seigneur était imminent ?" Il aurait répondu :" Eh bien, je continuerai à jouer, comme je le fais ordinairement ". Je trouve que le Seigneur nous a annoncé son retour, non pas pour nous effrayer, mais pour nous inviter, comme l'ont fait et compris plusieurs saints, à garder en lui une confiance indéfectible.
2. Nous devons toujours être prêts, car Jésus peut revenir à tout moment Ce chapitre de Matthieu est un chapitre important qui met en garde contre les dangers potentiels auxquels nous sommes confrontés chaque jour ; mais si nous suivons fidèlement la parole de Jésus, nous serons alors libérés du danger des faux messies qui cherchent à nous tromper.
Cependant, Jésus nous avertit d'être vigilants et prêts pour «la venue du Fils de l'homme». Lorsque Jésus parle de «la venue du Fils de l'homme», il fait référence à son second avènement, ou retour à la terre. Cet événement est aussi décrit comme étant «comme un éclair». Jésus décrit ensuite divers signes de la fin des temps, y compris des famines, des tremblements de terre et des persécutions. Il nous rappelle que nous devons rester vigilants et obéissants si nous voulons être récompensés en entrant dans Son Royaume glorieux.
Les événements du monde et de la galaxie, ne sont pas là pour nous attacher à l'extraordinaire, mais pour nous confirmer dans l'ordinaire de ce que nous pouvons vivre. Puisque les anges vont venir nous rassembler des quatre coins des cieux, qu'avons-nous à avoir peur ? Que rien ne nous perturbe, gardons confiance en la parole du Seigneur et que son retour,

aujourd'hui, demain ou à la fin du temps, soit pour nous une source de quiétude et de joie.
