In a very synodal event, The Maronite Church and the Latin Church in Cyprus celebrated the feast of “Saint George of the seeds” in the church dedicated to his name, located on the sea shore in Kormakitis.
The Maronite Archbishop of Cyprus H.E. Msgr Selim Sfeir presided the liturgy, assisted by the representative of the Holy See H.E. Msgr Mario Lalli and F. Bruno Varianno representing H.E. Cardinal Patriarch Pierbattista Pizzaballa and some of the Maronite priests of the archdiocese.

The Parliament Speaker, Mrs. Annita Demetriou.
The Head of the humanitarian affairs for missing persons and the enclaved, Mrs. Anna Aristotelous.
The Maronite representative in the Parlament, Mr. Yannakis Moussa.
The General Secretary of the Progressive Party of Working People (AKEL) and the member of the Cypriot House of Representatives, Mr. Stephanos Stephanou
and many ambassadors and officials, as well as the faithful of the Maronite Church.
The Divine Liturgy was followed by lunch at the same location.
